Cheyne Cottage is so comfortable and luxurious, we had the most relaxing long weekend here. Every little detail is considered, it's clear the owners have put much love and attention into making the cottage homely and special. We also loved the gorgeous garden and countryside views, with Dartmoor in the distance. We spent our days rambling around the nearby countryside and village, enjoyed the market in Totnes, and an incredible sea tractor crossing to Burgh Island (a must-do). There's also plenty of gorgeous food options, our favourite was The Sea Trout in Staverton. Anyone coming to stay here is in for a real treat, our favourite cottage in the countryside. - March 25

We had a nice time exploring this area of Devon, good for food and walking and trips on boats. - September 23

It’s been such a treat to have spent a week here at Cheyne, we loved the special touches, the welcome hamper, Egyptian cotton sheets, le Creuset cookware! The weather was mixed but we were quite happy hunkering down when the weather wasn’t kind. Thank you for a dream week, we are already planning for next year! - August 23

The cottage is really lovely, very clean and comfortable. Welcome hamper was lovely – thank you. Lot’s of lovely places to visit and we’d recommend the Dartmouth Steam Railway and a visit to Greenway for any Agatha Christie fans. - August 23

Thank you for such a lovely stay, this cottage is like a Tardis – you couldn’t believe it was so light and spacious behind that little door! So much to do in this area, we have been very busy – Totnes, Stoke Gabrial, Cockington, Dartmouth, all great places to visit. We loved the steam train and Paignton zoo. We had Sunday lunch at the Cott Inn, delicious pies at the Coppa Dolla, lovely meals at the Sea Trout – all very good. - August 23

We arrived at Cheyne Cottage, which is located in the tranquil setting in the village of Broadhempston - we were welcomed to this beautiful chocolate-box pretty cottage with beautifully kept gardens and outdoor space. Lovely open plan kitchen with beautiful wood burner and living area which opens out to the garden. The kitchen is fantastically equipped to rustle up the best breakfast, light lunch or delightful dinners and so thoughtfully chosen by the owners. We were thrilled to discover the welcome hamper left for us. The entire garden was totally safe and secure which was reassuring for us, and the trees surrounding the garden made us feel very secluded. Cheyne Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage in a lovely village within 20 minutes of the moors or the sea, so a perfect location for exploring the delights that Devon have to offer. Cheyne Cottage is a complete haven and a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and we hadn’t felt this relaxed in ages – we can highly recommend a visit to this beautiful timeless traditional cottage. - February 23

We really enjoyed our stay at Cheyne cottage. It is situated in a lovely, quiet village with easy routes to many popular destinations. The cottage was clean and tidy and equipped with everything you could ever need. The bed was very comfy and the en-suite shower was hot with good water pressure. The TV was large, with a great sound system. The WIFI was fast and we could stream our favourite services without any issues. The kitchen had a good cooker, fridge, washing machine & tumble dryer. We stayed in summer, but the log fire looked perfect for a winter stay. The outside space is more than adequate to enjoy some outdoor eating and the view across the fields is lovely. - August 22
